To me, nothing beats the feeling of transforming someone’s life from the inside out to the point where they can now smile and be happy when looking at themselves in the mirror.
To be COMPLETELY HONEST with you…my fitness journey began when I was 16 years old when a girl I had really liked went for another guy who had a better looking body than me.
(Don’t worry, I won’t need any tissues from you, my friend. I'm over it!)
At the time, I was recovering from a twisted pelvis I had gained from playing football (soccer) and other sports, and when one of my best friends jokingly said: “Damn, Jake. You’re starting to gain a little fat around that belly, man!” I knew I had to make a change.
I decided to give this fitness thing a try. I started out at around 120lbs. Skinny. Weak. Insecure. With no confidence in myself whatsoever. As I was too insecure with my body to go to the gym, I started to lift weights with a bench and a pair of dumbbells at home in order to build the lean, muscular, and defined body I had always dreamed of having.
Throughout my time in school, I continued to expand my knowledge of fitness, nutrition, the science behind building muscle and losing body fat, as well as the psychology behind what it truly takes to unleash one’s infinite potential and accomplish an incredible body transformation.
After 2 years of trial and error, it wasn’t until a man one night towards the end of 2017 in the overcrowded gym I was at display a feat of strength with his own bodyweight that I had never witnessed before. The exercises he was performing was part of a less common style of training known as Calisthenics (Bodyweight Training).
Through my deepest of struggles, this is where I saw light at the end of the tunnel, as my passion for fitness truly grew.
After recovering from a groin injury I picked up in a Football / Soccer match in January 2018, I quit my gym membership and worked out in the comfort of my own home. No fancy equipment needed. All I used was the power of my own bodyweight and a plain simple pull up bar to get the job done.
The results blew me away…
I will never forget the moment where, before going to bed one night, I looked at myself in the mirror, and this time…I was FINALLY happy with what I saw. I was proud. I had never been so confident with myself in my entire life.
Throughout my time working out 5-6 days a week in the gym in the past, I realised many of the people reaching out to me were in a similar situation as to where I was before: unhappy with their self-image, sick and tired of traditional weight lifting methods, and oblivious as to how they could achieve the results they truly desired with just 3 workouts per week in the comfort of their own home.
Born with a burning desire to help others improve their bodies, I am driven by pure passion to showing others how they can gain astonishing results in record-breaking time by exploiting the long-lost art of Calisthenics & Bodyweight Training...even if they have an extremely busy schedule outside of their health and fitness!
